Nate Smith Says You Can’t Outrun The Pain Of A Heartache: Audio

After eight weeks at #1 with “World On Fire,” Nate Smith has set the bar high for his new single, “Bulletproof.” In the lyrics, he battles the bulletproof memory of a past relationship, while the video shows Nate performing on stage in a club. It’s from his new EP, Through The Smoke, which comes out on April 5.

He didn’t write the song, but says he’s had heartache before and knows… alcohol doesn’t make you bulletproof. Nate tells us more:

“I’ve tried to outrun the pain of a heartbreak in so many different ways. And I feel like the only thing that can really. get you through it is time. And just doing that self-care, that self-healing, and stuff so. That’s kinda what the song is about. Trying everything you can to outrun the pain of a heartbreak, but you can’t do it.” :13
