The first Lone Star Smokeout is set for May 2-4, 2025, outside of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The event will be put on by Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, who started the Windy City Smokeout in Chicago in 2013. The Windy City Smokeout attracts 90,000 food and country music fans annually, and the group is thrilled to be expanding into Texas. “When Windy City Smokeout started in a small parking lot in downtown Chicago in 2013, we had the goal to create a festival that would offer guests the best in country music and barbecue,” said R.J. Melman, president of Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants. “To be able to produce the first-ever Lone Star Smokeout at AT&T Stadium is an incredible opportunity, as many of the BBQ teams and artists come from the great state of Texas.
