On an Instagram post, the country star revealed that he was hospitalized with health issues on Sunday, and he had to undergo emergency quadruple bypass heart surgery. The procedure went well, and Chesnutt is now recovering. “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of my upcoming shows,” Chesnutt shared in a social media statement. “I send my love and gratitude to my family and friends, the band and fans for your understanding, prayers and support, and look forward to seeing you all again soon at a honky tonk near you.” The canceled shows are on June 21 and June 22 in Louisiana and Texas, and Dauphin’s Country Fest in Manitoba on June 30.
