Luke Combs Becomes First Artist To Ever Have Three Diamond-Certified Country Singles

During Luke Combs’ 5-year anniversary appearance at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday night (August 13), the country superstar received a series of surprise honors in addition to being able to perform on the legendary Opry stage. Sony Music Nashville surprised the 2-time CMA Entertainer of the Year with a set of plaques paying tribute to his artistic achievements. The biggest accomplishment of them all is that Combs has become the first artist ever to have three Diamond-certified country singles, following the new certifications for his hit singles, “When It Rains It Pours” and “Hurricane,” which joins previously Diamond-certified “Beautiful Crazy.” To reach Diamond certification, a release must reach the 10 million units sold milestone.

Also receiving accolades that night were Combs’ 2022 album Gettin’ Old, which became certified Platinum, 2019’s What You See Is What You Get reached 5X Platinum certification, and his Grammy-nominated cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” was awarded 5X Platinum certification. Luke’s wife Nicole proudly captured the series of prestigious honors her husband received on her Instagram story. (All Country News)
