Miranda Lambert will be honored with the Country Icon Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards on September 26. The country superstar will be the second recipient of the distinguished award, following the inaugural presentation to Toby Keith at the 2023 ceremony. Lambert will receive the award in recognition of her decades-long music career where she “built an authentic, female-forward brand of country that has shaped the industry.”
“A tour de force in country music for more than 20 years, Miranda Lambert’s groundbreaking albums continue to capture the hearts of fans around the world. We’re so excited to celebrate her career, fierce individualism and innovation in the industry with the Country Icon Award,” said Jen Neal, Executive Vice President of Live Events and Specials for NBCUniversal Entertainment. Lambert isn’t resting on her past success or present honors either, as the three-time Grammy Award-winner is set to release her new album, Postcards From Texas, on September 13. (People)
